Before you start
The HollyHR app is available in Make's public directory. You need a Make account and a dedicated HollyHR key. Read modules work on every HollyHR plan. Create modules require Standard and the appropriate write permission; Make's own usage limits apply.
Create your first scenario
- A HollyHR System Admin opens Integrations → Developer tools and creates a key for this Make connection. Choose only the required permissions and complete verification if prompted.
- In Make, create or open a scenario and add a HollyHR module. Choose Create a connection, then enter your workspace name and dedicated API key.
- For the workspace, use only the subdomain: acme for acme.hollyhr.com. The workspace cannot be edited on an existing connection; create a new connection if you need a different workspace.
- Configure the module, run once with fictional records and inspect its output. Map the fields needed by the next module, then enable the scenario with the intended schedule.
Schedules and failed runs
- The current Watch people and Watch time off modules poll on the scenario schedule. They are not instant notifications.
- Check Make's scenario history for errors and confirm the module's required fields and permissions. Do not repeatedly run a create module until you understand whether it already created the record.
- Do not change the connection's workspace to repair authentication. Check its key and permissions, or create the correct separate connection.
Stop or replace the connection
Disable affected scenarios before removing the Make connection. Revoke its dedicated key in HollyHR when no longer needed. Before revoking a replaced key, test the new connection in every scenario that uses it. Data already sent to other apps stays there until you remove it in those apps.
