Questions worth asking any free calculator
- Are these calculators really free?
- Yes — no sign-up, no email gate, no PDF ransom. The numbers never leave your browser: there are no network calls, no analytics events and no storage in any calculator on this page.
- Where do the rates come from?
- A single pinned statutory-rates source, verified against live GOV.UK pages and shared by every calculator and the rates page — so an answer here can never use a rate the rates page does not show. Each tool links its official source and names its maintenance owner.
- How current are the figures?
- The 2026/27 rates took effect on 6 April 2026 and were last verified on 28 July 2026; the next scheduled review is the April uprating. Every calculator page shows the same dates, because they read the same source.
