The realities of transport and logistics employment

A mobile workforce still needs one dependable people record.

Depots, warehouses and drivers create different working contexts. Employment details and chosen evidence should remain connected.
Mobile teams, evidence and locations
One workforce

Mobile and depot teams still need one employment record

Keep the current role, manager, location, working pattern and dated changes with the employee instead of maintaining separate lists for drivers, warehouse and office teams.

Driver evidence

Driver evidence needs a clear owner and review date

Record documents and requirements produced by your checking process, while DVLA, DVSA and transport systems remain responsible for the underlying checks and compliance records.

Operational cover

Operational cover makes absence more consequential

Keep holiday and sickness visible to the appropriate manager with the agreed working pattern behind the record, while live schedules and fatigue controls stay in operational tools.

How HollyHR helps

A shared employee record across depots and roles.

Transport and logistics teams we support

Core HR across different transport and logistics businesses.

The vehicles, routes and operating rules differ. The employed team still needs one current people record.

Haulage and freight operators

Drivers, planners, warehouse and office employees across depots.

Warehousing and fulfilment

Picking, packing, stock, supervision and support employees across patterns.

Courier and last-mile businesses

Employed drivers, dispatch and operations teams across delivery areas.

Passenger transport

Drivers, operations and customer teams under the applicable service rules.

Removals and storage

Mobile crews, warehouse and office employees working across jobs and sites.

Service and field logistics

Mobile, scheduling, warehouse and support employees under one employer.

These are examples. Driver and operator rules depend on the vehicles, work and jurisdiction involved.

Questions before you switch

Straight answers to common questions.

Check the practical details before deciding whether HollyHR fits your team.
Does HollyHR manage driver hours or tachographs?

No. Use the current rules and a compliant transport system for driver hours, working time, tachograph data and infringements. HollyHR records agreed employment patterns, leave and sickness, not actual driving or duty time.

Can we record licence and Driver CPC evidence?

You can keep documents and dated requirements against the employee where that fits your compliance and retention process. HollyHR does not query DVLA or DVSA, validate a licence or Driver CPC, or decide whether a person may drive.

Can HollyHR support several depots and mobile teams?

Yes. Locations, departments, reporting lines and roles are part of the core people record. Use them to organise employees and manager access, not as a replacement for live dispatch, route or lone-worker controls.

Does HollyHR schedule operational cover?

No. HollyHR gives authorised managers a clear leave and sickness record, with the agreed working pattern behind it. Live shifts, route allocation, overtime, agency cover and fatigue controls remain in your workforce and transport systems.

How much does HollyHR cost for a transport or logistics team?

Free is £0 for up to 10 active employees, with no card requirement or trial clock. Standard is £2 per active employee per month before applicable tax. Plus is coming soon at £4 per active employee per month.
