Why we label recipes differently from native integrations
A native integration has a maintained authentication flow, documented behaviour, support ownership and a tested failure path. An API recipe can still be useful, but calling the two things identical would be misleading.

Often, yes. HollyHR has documented API access and outbound webhooks, but each connection must respect scopes, organisation boundaries and the destination's handling of employee data.
Are API reads included on the Free plan?
Read access is available on every plan. Programmatic writes are separately controlled and are not presented as a casual automation shortcut for sensitive HR changes.
