The realities of hospitality employment

A busy service should not create a fragmented staff record.

Frequent starts, irregular hours and local management make dependable employee information more valuable, not less.
Starters, patterns and venues
Frequent starters

A frequent starter still needs a complete start

Use one repeatable journey for details, documents, policies and named tasks so a busy opening or seasonal intake does not turn onboarding into a trail of messages.

Irregular hours

Irregular hours need the agreed pattern and current rules

Keep the employee's working arrangement and dated changes with their record, then use the current statutory method and payroll process for holiday pay calculations.

Local managers

Local managers need useful, limited access

Give a manager the leave context and employee actions their role allows without giving every venue the same access to confidential people information.

How HollyHR helps

Questions before you switch

Straight answers to common questions.

Check the practical details before deciding whether HollyHR fits your team.
Does HollyHR include rotas or clock-in?

No. Use a hospitality scheduling or time-and-attendance system for live shifts, clock-in and cover. HollyHR keeps the agreed employment pattern, employee record, leave and sickness organised alongside it.

Does HollyHR perform right-to-work checks?

No. Employers must use the prescribed current route and confirm the result themselves. HollyHR can keep the evidence and follow-up date you record with the employee, but it does not validate documents, identity or immigration status.

Can HollyHR handle irregular-hours holiday?

HollyHR can keep the employee's working pattern, leave record and supporting employment information. Entitlement and holiday pay for irregular-hours or part-year workers depend on the current statutory method and leave year, so confirm the calculation in current government guidance and payroll.

Can each venue manager see only their own team?

Locations, reporting lines and roles can organise manager access around the responsibility they hold. Administrators should still check each assignment rather than assuming a job title automatically creates the right access.

How much does HollyHR cost for a hospitality team?
